Abstract:
In this paper, we aim at analyzing Romanian soil improvement measures such as established by the National
Development Plan developed by the Romanian Government over the period 2007 – 2013.The quality of the arable land
in Romania is superior to those in many European countries, but the high acidity levels of the soil, the lack of nutrients
in the soil, as well as improper crop structures contribute to low yields off these lands, and thus implicitly have a
negative impact on the revenues obtained by the agriculturist.
