The variants of treatment were the following: V1 not treated control sample, V2 – Topsin 500 SC-0.1%, V3-Alert-0.1%, V4 - Folpan 80 WG0.15%, V5 - Folpan 80 WG-0.1%+ Topsin 500 SC – 0.1%. The experiment was placed in randomized blocks, with strict compliance to the experimental technique requirements. During the vegetation period, symptoms produced by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. niveum fungus which produces the fusarium wilting of watermellons (Velichi E. 2006), have appeared differentially at each experimental variant. Other diseases, like the ones produced by the attack of Colletotrichum lagenarium fungus which produces the curcubitaceae anthracnose or by the attack of Sphaerotheca fuliginea fungus (Iacob Viorica, Hatman, M., Ulea, E., Puiu, I. 2000) which produces the mildew of cucurbitaceae, did not manifest in the watermelons experiment which were subject to the experiment. Production’s harvest was done in stages. The variants: V2 – Topsin, V3 - Alert - 0.1% and V5 - Folpan 80 WG - 0.1% + Topsin 500 SC – 0.1% have achieved statistically differentiated productions against V1 – not treated control sample. Variant V4 – Folpan 80 WDG – 0.15 % has achieved a production a bit larger than the not treated control sample, but without statistic insurancelistelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Some researches concerning the resistance mechanism determination of potato to wart produced by Synchytrium endobioticum through biochemical analyses(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2015) Saghin, Gheorghe; Bodea, Dumitru; Enea, Ioan-Cătălin; Murariu, DanelaThe paper presents results concerning the resistance mechanism determination of potato to wart, caused by Synchytrium endobioticum, through biochemical analysis, in 10 potato resistant and susceptible genotypes to above pathogen, relating to: dry matter and moisture contents, ash, total nitrogen, total crude protein and starch contents , titratable acidity, catalase and polifenoloxidaze activities, ascorbic acid and total free amino acids contents. Following the analysis carried out on resistant and susceptible potato genotypes to the pathogen was found that indicators refering to dry matter and moisture content, ash, ascorbic acid, titratable acidity and starch contents no guarantee expression of the resistance degree or susceptibility level to pathogens. It is interesting the analyzes of total nitrogen and crude protein contents from tubers, catalase and polifenoloxidaze activities and total free amino acids contents. Thus we can say, after the first analyzes conducted in this direction, the potato genotypes resistant to pathogens, contain over 0.9g nitrogen/100g tissue tuber crude protein over 5.6% total free amino acids content, over 0.40% from d.s., catalase units less than 110 and below 1.70 micromoles of ascorbic acid oxidized by enzyme in 1 gram of tuber tissue for one minute. It is necessary to continue this type of research on a much larger number of resistant and sensitive potato genotypes and take into account other analyzes to those mentioned in this paper, regarding to quality of the protein content, the essential amino acids content, alkaloids, amides, the study of albuminoidal substances compozition etc., which would prevent the cellular system development of the fungus in potato tubers.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , The role of the key competencies in enhancing students’ motivation to finish their studies(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2015) Colibaba, Anca-Cristina; Colibaba, Ștefan; Spiță, Doina; Colibaba, Lucia-CintiaThe article focuses on findings developed by the School&Work project (Programme: Erasmus+ KA2 – Strategic Partnership) within a partnership involving six countries: Italy, Belgium, France, Lithuania, Romania and Spain. The main objectives of the project aim at improving the job orientation services and experiences offered by schools and at establishing a more concrete and effective cooperation between schools and the world of work. The article highlights the role that key competencies can play in enhancing students’ learning experience and in motivating them to learn and complete their studies. Besides learning about a range of subjects students need to learn how to learn, how to communicate with others, how to think independently and be motivated to learn throughout their lives. All this is requested by the job market and valued by companies when recruiting staff. Based on thorough research on existing data and findings of similar European projects the project provides school teachers, advisors and counsellors with the necessary skills and tools to enable students to identify their interests and aptitudes and match them with a possible future career. Those cultivars were: V1 - Ace 55 VF (control sample), V2 –SV52215 TD F1, V3 –Chelse F1, V4 – Rosaliesa F1, V5 – Mirsini F1. The experiments had as purpose monitoring the occurrence and evolution of the attack of some specific pathogenic agents at tomatoes, in the conditions of a droughty year. Also, it was monitored the correlation between the attack degree (G.A.%) of the mentioned pathogenic agents, production and the quality of the production. The experiment was placed in randomized blocks, with strict compliance to the experimental technique requirements. During the vegetation period, symptoms produced by viroses had appeared differentially at each experimental variant. Remotely, there were signalled also clear symptoms produced by stolbur (Mycoplasma). Other diseases, like those produced by the attack of some bacteria species (for example, Xanthomonas campestris p.v. vesicatoria) or fungi (for example, Phythophthora infestans, Colletrotrichum coccodes etc) have manifested in the tomatoes crop, but without raising any issues. Production’s harvesting was done in stages. Among the results of the production, achieved variant wise, differences insured statistically had been obtained. In the climatic conditions of the year 2015, the most productive cultivar was Mirsini F1. This objective involves determining demand, supply and prices at which the honey is sold on internal market and to export. The research method consists of in the statistical analysis of information obtained from the main international and national databases. The total number of bee families registered in Romania during 1962 to 2011 was about 961 000 with about 726 000 in 1962 and 1,275 mil. in 2011. The offer of honey of Romanian market in 1962 was about 4600 tons with an increase of 7070 tons between the 1962 and 2011, higher during 1962 to 1990 when were recorded 5140 tons, against an increase of 1930 tons between 1991 to 2011. Demand for honey between the 1962 to 2011 was 8,188 tons, with 0.19 kg / person and an evolution from 0,28 kg / pers between the 1962 to 1966 to 0.56 kg / person between the 2007 to 2011. The average price for honey within the studied period was 3,13 $ / kg obtained according to a fixed price of 2,50 $ / kg in 1962 and a market price of $ 6.21 / kg in 2011.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Beekeeper’ income volatility. The period for which investigations were carried out is 50 years to highlight the influence of a centralized economy and then of a under development market economy on the financial situation of beekeepers. The main research tools used were the indices of elasticity of prices and incomes based on the honey offer and on the consumer’s incomes. Results indicate a diminution in production capacity coupled with a significant increase in yield average. It was also revealed a significant volatility in the Romanian beekeepers revenues correlated with a low elasticity of honey prices compared with the dynamics of consumer’s incomes and with the total honey yield. During the 1962 to 2011 in Romania the incomes from honey production were by 43,3 millions with variations from 18,1 millions $ between the 1962 to 1966 to 109,3 millions $ between the 2007 to 2011. Eating disorders may have consequences, sometimes irreversible ones, upon some systems (digestive, immune, cardiac, etc.) and can manifest deficiencies in key moments of human development. In our study, conducted on 35 patients, aged 55-85 years, using a questionnaire food, we watched the frequency of fruit and vegetable consumption. The results highlighted the poor consumption, more obvious in case of the elder persons, the consequences being reflected throughout the body. What is the impact of innovation on economic performance of the enterprise? The answer to these two questions was based using qualitative analysis methods, such as documentary analysis of various scientific publications. The paper analyzes specialized previous empirical studies and researches, whose results contribute to defining and understanding the concepts of "economic performance" and "innovation" and, also, the relationship that is created between them. The performance is an economic concept, variously defined in the literature. For example, a performance approach, favored by many authors, is in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and economy indicators. Other authors consider that performance is equivalent to increasing of economic indicators from one year to another (for example, turnover, profit, profitability, market share, sales etc.). Thus, an enterprise achieves economic performance if it registers higher economical results, than the previous year. The literature gives a special place to innovation process, as key determinant of economic performance. The innovation is an expensive process for the enterprises and serve its purpose, as long as the company using it is increasing the economic performance. So, it is considered that the performance is a function of productivity and efficiency. Productivity and efficiency are the effect of innovation and technology. In this context, the paper presents an econometric analysis of macroeconomic level in order to measure the contribution of agriculture to economic growth equation and evaluating the causal relationship with industry. The econometric analysis undertaken, using OLS method (Ordinary Least Square or the method of least squares) and TSLS method (Two Stage Least Square or the method of least squares in two-stage). Contribution of agriculture is defined in terms of the agricultural GDP (gross domestic product) and the economic growth in terms of evolution of real GDP. The results reveal that agriculture occupies a secondary place in economic growth. Regarding the links between agriculture and industry, they are in favor of industry. Why? Because, in the agricultural GDP equation, the industrial GDP coefficient has a negative sign (-), and in the industrial GDP equation, the agricultural GDP coefficient is positive (+). Therefore, the industrial sector has greater benefits from industry-agriculture relationship and by effect of agriculture-growth relationship. Developing the agricultural sector deserves o priority position since growth in this sector helps the industry to grow further. However, capital investment in agriculture releases farm labor that often is not absorbed by the economy and emphasizes the degree of rural poverty. Thus, encouraging the industrial development by increasing agricultural sector, the position of rural poverty can increases. Although studies in the field have pointed out numerous benefits that innovation brought to its creators and end consumers, not all companies manage to innovate. This paper aims to evaluate the impact of innovation upon economic growth, by computing the various indicators used to evaluate the management potential of innovation, the potential to create knowledge, the potential to innovate and collaborate, the performance of innovation activities and the level of economic development per country. The study was performed on the 27 European countries (excluding Luxemburg), using the information available in Eurostat statistics for the period 2008 – 2014. In order to find an answer to the research problem, this paper used the following data analysis methods: the ratios method, the correlation analysis, the comparative analysis. By brushing the seeds gain a smooth and glossy surface, and the ash content is reduced by minimum 0.01%. In order to optimize the operating process a brushing installation – IPG - was designed and developed. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of some functional and constructive parameters (speed of the rotor with brushes, the suction air flow rate, tapered shell type and the product feed rate) over the physical characteristics of grain seeds. The experimental results conducted using wheat kernels led to the conclusion that the percentage of broken seeds was influenced by rotor speed, product feed rate, the shape and size of the perforated shell holes of the brushing instalation drum; variations of the percentage of broken seeds up to 1.3% were recorded, depending on the constructive-functional parametres of the machine. A number of 144 experimental variants were studied in the research, the lowest percentage of broken grains being recorded at the maximum feeding rate of 600 kg/h. The maximum grain yield of beans was produced in North zone - 2.79 t/ha, 0.38 and 1.65 t/ha higher than medium variety productivity in Central and Southern areas, respectively. The varieties of beans taken in study showed a high degree of potential productivity realization 72,1 - 81,6%. The highest grain yield an average by zones was obtained from varieties Garofitsa - 2.30 t/ha. The studied varieties of beans showed a high percentage of realization of potential productivity 72,1-81,6%. For fifteen varieties of barley from South-East of Romania were performed analyzes for determination of the associated fungal load of seeds and setting the influence they have on the quality indicators. Classical method was used (PDA medium plate inoculation). Micromycetes proportion identified to be as follows: Alternaria spp fungal colonized seeds of most varieties, the minimum being 5% to Vanessa variety and a maximum of 60% at the Cardinal variety. Fusarium spp was present in 80% of varieties with a maximum of 60% grains affected Scarpia variety and a minimum of 10% based Alora and Andrei varieties. Epicoccum purpurascens was present on seeds, the maximum incidence were recorded for Madalin variety (30%). Rhizopus spp and Stemphylium spp micromicetes colonized seeds of 40% varieties with incidents between 10% and 40%. Curvularia lunata, Oedocephalum spp, Penicillium spp, Pyrenophora spp and Trichoderma viride colonized seeds in a smaller percentage under 35%. Germination of seeds recorded the lowest value of 94% for the Scarpia variety. The best germination was noted Andrew and Vanessa varieties in 99%. The physicochemical analyzes showed a minimum hectoliter mass (kg/hl) 51.8 kg/hl of Maresal variety and maximum 73.5 kg/hl for Cardinal variety. The percentage of moisture ranged from 12.5% for Regent and to 15.7% at Cardinal. The purpose of this paper is to identify and capitalize recyclable materials for classification and utilization in the agricultural buildings. Determining the potential for reuse of those can be done through proper management of each type of waste. Reintegrating them into materials cycle is essential for sustainable development. It will be identified and presented in this paper new materials developed by various researchers in order to increase their performance or at least to maintain them within acceptable limits to be exploited. This paper will present recyclables materials coming from industrial activities, such as burning solid fuels, steel production (ash, slag), auto-industry (tires) and polymeric industry. Synthetic materials generically called plastics are widely used in construction due to their durability and low weight. Common thermoplastics are polyethylene and polypropylene, have the advantage of being easily recyclable.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Vertical accuracy evaluation of digital terrain models created based on line-following digitization of contour maps(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2015) Oniga, Ersilia; Cârdei, MihaelaDigital terrain models are used in wide variety of domains and applications, of which the most important are: orthorectification of aerial and satellite images, space object modelling, passageways designing, achieving slopes exhibition maps, hydrological modeling, etc. There are several techniques for data acquisition in order to create digital terrain models, such as photogrammetry, radargrammetry, interferometry, airborne laser scanning, surveying and geodetic and cartographic digitization. By using cartographic digitization, digital terrain models are created based on the digitized contour maps on existing maps, which were brought in digital format by scanning process, this method involving low costs and being reach of a large number of users. It must therefore assess the vertical accuracy of digital terrain models created by this method. To achieve results, first were created the digital terrain models based on contour maps and points of known elevations manually digitized on plans at 1: 1000 scale and maps at 1: 25000 scale, using an interpolation grid side of 5m and spline bicubic interpolation method. Then, were determined with precision, by GNSS technology, the coordinates of 18 control points. Based on the grid nodes elevations, using the spline bicubic interpolation method, were calculated the elevations of the 18 control points and then the differences between them and those accurately obtained by GNSS technology. Measurements were aimed at determining the associated fungal load of wheat seeds and establishing their influence on quality indicators. Classical method was used (PDA medium plate inoculation). It was established micromycetes proportion identified as follows: fungus Fusarium spp had minimum values of 30% at Solehio variety and maximum values at Alex variety of 80%. Alternaria spp colonized Flamura 85 variety seeds at a rate of 14%, with a maximum value of 60% at Solehio variety. Stemphylium spp micromicetes was present in 6% at Flamura 85 variety and recorded maximum value of 20% at Boema and Glosa varieties. Oedocephalum spp and Rhizopus spp colonized seeds of Glosa and Ilinca varieties, in proportion of 45%. Penicillium spp micromicetes recorded a maximum incidence of 25% at Elemenco variety. Epicoccum purpurascens was present on the seeds of wheat in a maximum proportion of 10% at Solehio variety. Germination of seeds recorded the lowest value of 87% at Solehio and a maximum value of 99% at Ilinca variety. Quality index determinations reveal a seeds moisture of minimum 12,3% of Apache variety and a maximum value of 16,6% for Flamura 85 variety. Minimum amount of protein was determined for Exotic variety (11,2%) and maximum content for Boema 1 variety (15,4%). Zeleny sedimentation index showed a satisfactory quality and good for all varieties, except Exotic variety which showed an index of 8, for a poor quality. Hardness seeds ranged between 22% at Exotic variety and 34% at Flamura 85. The amount of starch of varieties had a maximum difference of 2,7% and hectoliter mass ranged from 67,8% at Exotic variety and 78,2% at Dropia variety.
