Agricultural land quality is determined by assessment, according to which, in Romania, agricultural land belongs to five quality classes differentiated based on their assessment grades. The assessment study is conducted on various agricultural lands, which should be as homogeneous as possible from the viewpoint of their environmental factors and vegetation factors. In the Răducăneni administrative-territorial unit, the 70 simple soil units and 6 complex soil units identified, belonging to the Protisoils, Cernisoils, Luvisoils, Hydrisoils and Antrisoils classes, were included, depending on their slope and exposure, in elementary land units, which resulted in 171 simple ecologically homogeneous territories and 36 complex ones. Relying on the land quality and productivity assessment grades calculated for the 207 ecologically homogeneous territories, we decided that the surveyed land belonged to the arable use category, i.e. to I, II, III, IV and V quality classes. 50.9% (3372.68 ha) of the total mapped area of 6624 ha belongs to the lower quality classes, namely IV and V, 35.1% (2323.17 ha) to the III quality class and only 14% (928.15 ha) to the higher I and II quality classes.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , The main features of the German corporate governance system. At global level, there are two main models of corporate governance taken into account: the shareholder system (United Kingdom, USA); the stakeholder system (Japan, most Latin and Continental European countries). The German company Bayer AG has adopted the stakeholder model to form its corporate governance system and, therefore, does not limit itself to the protection of stakeholders, as in the case of the English-American area A specific feature of the German corporate law is the separation between the Management Board ("Vorstand") and the Supervisory Board ("Aufsichtsrat"). This two-tier management system is also adopted by Bayer AG. It is rigorously forbidden to the members of one board to be, also, members of the other board. The German Supervisory Boards are unique due to the German law of co-determination, according to which it is mandatory for these boards to be composed by an equal number of representatives of stakeholders and employees. The role of Bayer AG Supervisory Board (formed by 20 members) is to monitor and guide the Management Board. In order to increase its efficiency in task fulfillment, Bayer AG Supervisory Board set up five committees – the Presidial Committee, the Audit Committee, the Human Resources Committee, the Nominations Committee and the Innovation Committee. The Supervisory Board operate in compliance with the German Stock Corporation Act and the German Corporate Governance Code. In average, the Supervisory Board has about 13 members and 2,3 committees. In the case of Bayer AG company, the Management Board is composed only by intern directors, having the role of company management and representation, while the Supervisory Board is formed exclusively by external directors. The cost of certain amount of commodity makes his cost.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Changes in soil biota and its relationships with soil properties across different land-use types(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2018) Ciolacu, Tatiana; Senicovscaia, IrinaThe purpose of this paper was to determine the changes in soil biota from typical chernozems across different land-use types, as well as to determine its interdependence with the soil properties. In the paper were investigated loamy-clayey typical chernozems in the following variants: arable; 15 years under the fallow; 60 years under the fallow. It was established that the parameters of the biological indices decrease on the soil profile with the depth. It was observed that in arable soils the main fauna mass is concentrated in the layer 20-60 cm. Also, due to the strong compaction of these soils, there is an abrupt decrease in the number of invertebrates and the change of microfauna structure. The content of microbial biomass gradually decreases with depth in all studied soil profiles. There is a significant decrease of the microbial biomass content in arable chernozems compared to the other soils. These values range from 280.7 μ g C g-1 soil in the 0-25 cm layer to 217.8 μ g C g-1 soil in the 35-50 cm layer. Due to the lower number of bacteria, actinomycetes and fungi in arable soils, there is a considerable prevalence of microorganisms decomposing humus. Interaction of soil biota and its metabolites with soil vegetation leads to structure improvement, formation of valuable agronomic aggregates and increase of their hydrostability. A close correlation between the biomass indices, the number of microorganisms and the structure of typical chernozems in the former 0-25 cm arable layer was found, where the restoration process is more intense, the layer being degraded more strongly. In the environment with changing climatic conditions the global agricultural production (including sunflower seeds) suffers considerable decrease due to the negative impact of abiotic factors such as heat, drought, salinity etc. Therefore, one of the main objectives of the breeders is to obtain drought tolerant varieties, which can express their full yield potential inclusively under drastic water deficiency. Though sunflower is considered drought-tolerant crop, it is very sensitive to water deficit at the stage of germination, seedling and flowering. In this context, the aim of this study was to evaluate drought tolerance potential in some new sunflower experimental hybrids at germination and early seedling growth stages under laboratory conditions using PEG-6000. Two levels of osmotic stress (induced by PEG concentrations 10 and 20%) were created and the reaction of genotypes was evaluated against a control. Germination rate (GR), germination stress tolerance index (GSI), plant height stress index (PHSI), root length stress index (RLSI) and dry matter stress index (DMSI) were used to determine the genotypic response to water stress. Drought stress affected the germination rate and seedling traits in all samples, indicating significant differences among genotypes and PEG concentrations. Plant height and seedling fresh weight are the most affected, such as a significant reduction of these parameters was observed in all sunflower genotypes. In contrast, an increase in RLSI was observed in the majority of tested sunflower hybrids. The hybrids HM1, HM11, HM14, HM17 and HM20 created by Moldavian Company AMG-Agroselect Comert and H5, H9 and H17 belonged from NARDI Fundulea, Romania performed well among evaluated sunflower genotypes, indicating a greater tolerance in terms of germination rate, shoot and root development, as well as dry plants weight at both levels of water stress. Their application in agricultural management comes as a basis for decisions on the resources allocation or the assignation of a certain crop structure in terms of efficiency aiming at the economic optimum. The crop structure can also be optimized using other specific methods, the most known being the multiple variants method and the planning program. Model setting is conditioned by the use of electronic computing because the multitude of restrictions and the complexity of mathematical relationships cannot be solved without specific programs. The solutions obtained are variants that an agricultural farmer can use to achieve the objectives of the unit, being able to immediately see the effects of potential changes in the initially introduced parameters and act accordingly. Obtaining correct results is conditioned by the prior setting of limit values (minimum outputs, minimum or maximum areas required by certain natural, economic or managerial conditions, weights associated with different crops, etc.) the correct definition of the objective function in order to insure the correctness of the mathematical relationships representing the restrictions imposed and by faithfully scrutinizing the stages specific to the scientific approach in order to achieve the objectives proposed by the agricultural holding or the area concerned. Achievement of an efficient monitoring process of structures is done by using modern topo-geodetic methods and techniques which guarantees the correctness of the data with the highest accuracy of the obtained results. The progress of the equipment area for determining geometric elements, means of calculation and reporting data influences the upgrade of methods and procedures in topographic measurements. The purpose of this paper is to implement the theory of decision using qualitative and quantitative criteria in a cycle of observations in monitoring the behavior in time of a viaduct engineering structure using three different topographical devices. We proposed a comparative analysis using three topo-geodetic technologies for monitoring vertical spatial displacements. The accuracy with which the monitoring marks are determined on the viaduct is extremely important for obtaining an optimal monitoring system over time. The objective described in this paper is in the North- West part of Galati city, which is a structure over 50 years old with a length of 1.3 kilometers. The viaduct is an important access road DJ 252 (Galaţi-Matca-Tecuci) that links the city of Galati to the platform of Arcelor Mittal steel plant, requiring permanent monitoring due to the age and the continuous dynamic actions it was subjected to during the exploitation and which can transmit to the foundation ground important settlings that cause irrecoverable structural degradation.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Influence of the long-term fertilization on the wheat yield, in period 1996-2018, at A.R.D.S. Lovrin(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2018) Agapie, Alina-Laura; Horablaga, Nicolae-Marinel; Suba, Dana; Suba, TitusThis study aims to analyze the evolution of winter wheat production, between 1996 and 2018, under the influence of 25 fertilization combinations with nitrogen and phosphorus. Nitrogen fertilizers applied have graduations of 0,30,60,90 and 120 kg active substance/ha, and of phosphorus 0, 40,80,120 and 160 kg of active substance/ha. The research carried out on a typical chernozem in the West of Romania showed that the fertilizers are well used by the winter wheat crop. During the 1996-2018 period, the influence of chemical fertilizers with nitrogen and phosphorus has been studied in a 3 years rotation (soya bean- wheatmaize). Unilateral application of nitrogen and phosphorus bring production increases within the range 573 kg grains/ha - 1016 kg/ha, nitrogen and 282 kg grains/ha - 998 kg/ha, phosphorus. The obtained results highlight the fundamental role of the combined application of the two types of fertilizers. Thermal conductivity is defined as the ability of a material to conduct heat. There are steady-state and transient-state methods for measurement of thermal conductivity. The most commonly used transient methods are the thermal conductivity probe method, transient hot wire method, modified Fitch method, point heat source method, and comparative method. In this paper the modified Fitch method was used in order to measure thermal conductivity; the results were compared with the one predicted by some heat conductivity models: series model, parallel model, the weighted geometric mean method. Experimental tests and calculations were applied to the following food items: dry salami (salam uscat CrisTim); Transylvanian salami (salam ardelenesc); rustic sausage (parizer ţărănesc Caroli). The experimental tests were performed immediately after the products were purchased and then repeated after they were stored for one week, at 6°C. The results show that the series model adequately describes the heat conductivity for dry salami and rustic sausage, while the weighted geometric mean model is more appropriate Transylvanian salami, which has the lowest water content and the highest fat content.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , The quality of preserved biomass of some poaceae species under the conditions of Republic of Moldova(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2018) Țîței, VictorEnergy is an essential ingredient of socio-environmental development and economic growth in the modern economy. Anaerobic digestion is an important way of making use of biomass resources and production of renewable energy, environmentally friendly and rapidly expanding in the latest years. Energy crops can be a suitable feedstock and if preserved they can be supplied to biogas plants continuously throughout the year. The aim of the current study was to evaluate the quality and biochemical methane production potential of preserved biomass (silage and haylage) prepared from Poaceae plants, 3-year-old perennial species Miscanthus giganteus and tall fescue Festuca arundinacea, winter cereal crops: rye Secale cereale and triticale Triticum secale. The silage and haylage prepared from these species mowed in June, by organoleptic characteristics (smell, colour and consistency) and biochemical indices (pH, content and correlation of organic acids, chemical composition of the dry matter), largely, met the standards. The chemical composition of the Miscanthus giganteus silage did not differ essentially compared to Triticum secale haylage. The biochemical methane production potential of Miscanthus giganteus silage made as a result of the first mowing in June reached 355 L/kg, Festuca arundinacea silage - 340 L/kg, Secale cereale haylage -333 L/kg, Triticum secale haylage - 358 L/kg organic matter, respectively.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , The influence of some technological links on the productivity of three monoecious hemp unisexual female hybrids and the provenance variety, in A.R.D.S Secuieni cultivation conditions(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2018) Popa, Lorena-Diana; Buburuz, Alexandra-Andreea; Teliban, Gabriel-CiprianThis paper aims to highlight the combined impact of the cutting method and the distance between plant rows on the monoecious hemp variety for seed – Zenit and on the unisexual female hybrids from three generations of crossbreeding, respectively retro-crossing. The researches were carried out in the Agricultural Research – Development Station Secuieni technological field, during 2017. The experience was of the trifactor type, the performed determinations were focusing on the biometric and productivity characteristics of the studied cultivars. The variety x cutting x distance combination generated remarkable yields for the HUF2 hybrid, sown at a distance of 50 cm between the plants rows, and to which two cuttings were applied (1816.7 kg/ha). Also, production results ensured at statistical level as very significant were obtained from interactions between HUF2 x T2 x 70 cm (1700 kg/ha), HUF3 x T2 x 50 cm (1643.3 kg/ha) and HUF2 x T1 x 70 cm (1626.7 kg/ha).listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , The position of small producers in the Hungarian rabbit production(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2018) Bodnar, Karoly; Privoczki, Zoltan-IstvanThe role of small rabbit producers was studied in this paper. Interviews with farmers and with the president of the Hungarian Rabbit Production Board were carried out in the South Plain Region of Hungary. The number of small rabbit farms and backyard production was reduced dramatically after the EU accession of the country. The rabbit production was decreased with more than 20% in the last year. There was no homogenous rabbit stock and quality; several problems were with the feeding and keeping technologies. The foreign consumers demanded animal welfare standards. Due to the lack of traceability at small scale farms the Hungarian abattoirs stopped accepting rabbits from small producers. New market was found for the living rabbit of small producers in Czech Republic, or they can sell the rabbits on local markets. The size of the recommended stock is over 1000 breeding does. The profitability of small stocks is very low or often negative at the moment. There are to alternatives in front of the small farmers: development of the rabbit farming to an entrepreneurial size on one hand, or preserve the traditional way of rabbit husbandry and help the rise of home sales and local market on the other hand. There is a demand of the slaughterhouses for rabbits from large scale farms, but their number does not increase because of the unpredictable export possibilities and fluctuating prices.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Boosting the entrepreneurial spirit - a structural model(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2018) Ștefan, GavrilThe aim of the paper is to design a structural model for boosting entrepreneurship spirit. The model is based on the structural human matrix, respectively the relationships that are created between the biological, the information and the energetic DNA. From a methodological point of view, the paper presents critical approaches to phenomena studied through observation, a qualitative method representative for research in the field of economics and sociology. Data was also collected through unstructured interviews with various entrepreneurs. Weather factors play a decisive role in achieving higher yields and in the development of plant pathogens. Besides temperature and atmospheric precipitation, wind and relative humidity of the air, play an important role in the development of diseases. In this study are presented the results obtained during the period 2015- 2018, in the northeastern part of Romania, Iasi county. During the three agricultural years studied, the climatic conditions were different from one year to the next. The influence of climatic factors was observed as a result of differences in production yields and the presence of the pathogens and the frequency with which they were manifested. The attack is dangerous when maize plants are in first vegetation stages (plants emergence-four leaf stage, BBCH 10-BBCH 14), in some cases maize crop can be total destroyed. Each year, in maximum favorable areas for this pest, there is attacked, with different intensity degrees, one million hectares cultivated with maize. Seeds chemical treatment with systemic insecticides represented the most efficacy method of maize crops protection against attack of this pest, in climatic conditions specific for south east of the Romania. As result of the EU directive 485/2013, starting from year 2014, the use of the neonicotiond insecticides (imidacloprid, clothianidin, thiametoxan active ingredients) for spring crops seeds treatment, was restricted. However, in perioad 2014-2018, Romania obtained derogations for use of these insecticides for seed treatment of maize and sunflower crops. As result of EU states vote, in 27 April, 2018, it has decided total ban of using of this three active ingredients from neonicotinoids class at all field crops, starting from 2019. As result, in Romania, at maize crop, no active ingredient will remain available for seed treatment against maize leaf weevil attack. In this paper there were presented results of a three-year study, effectuated at NARDI Fundulea, concerning the efficacy of the biological insecticides, used both at seed treatment and foliar spraying (spinosad active ingredient and neem oil) comparative with seed treatment with imidacloprid active ingredient (600 g/l). In the three study years, the lowest attack level of the Tanymecus dilaticollis at maize plants it has registered in case of the variant with seeds treated with imidacloprid. Improvement of production is based on calibration and balancing of circuits driven by rhizosphere microorganisms. Bioproducts have the role of supplementing microbial groups with a role in promoting plant growth. The purpose of the paper is to determine the global reaction of two wheat varieties to the application of bioproducts based on active microorganisms. The over- and underground growth of plants and the synthetic indices resulted from them were followed. Development parameters are significantly influenced by the application of bioproducts. In general, autumn wheat variety has a higher developmental balance than the spring one. For autumn wheat the presence of the microbial consortium caused the plant to transfer significant amounts of resources to the stem. The biological bases of spring wheat give it an oversize increase much higher than the winter wheat. A possible explanation for the growth and gradual development of plants is the provision of organic substances in a constant flow from both sides. For microorganisms, this situation has led to their proliferation irrespective of the presence of other organisms, and for the plant has ensured normal growth and development. Also in the case of spring wheat, the correlation between the stem and the root is lower than in the autumn one. The ecophysiological analyses were performed in representative plants belonging to the three identified plant associations (communities): Salicornietum prostratae Soó 1964, Astero tripoli – Juncetum gerardii Šmarda 1953 and Obionetum verruciferae Ţopa 1939. Investigated soils, Gleyc Solonceak and Sali-sodic Gleysoils, have medium or coarse-medium texture and electrical conductivity values varied from 1019 µS/cm up to 5427 µS/cm. The chlorophylls biosynthesis showed a higher amount of chlorophyll a in species of Poaceae and Juncaceae than in the Chenopodiaceae family. In Aeluropus littoralis species of the C4 - photosynthetic type, photo-assimilatory pigments varied slightly during the vegetation period. By using a rational management, grassland production may rise considerably. The objective of this study was to determine the effect of harvesting phenophase under the influence of organic and mineral fertilization on the productivity, composition and structure of vegetation cover of a grassland of Festuca valesiaca Schleich. ex. Gaudin. The researches were conducted at the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Iasi, Ezareni farm (47°05'-47°10' north latitude and 27°28'-27°33' eastern longitude). The experimental factors were represented by the harvesting phenophase, with three graduations: a1-harvested at plant height of 15-18 cm, a2-harvested at the ear formation (control) and a3-harvested to full flowering and fertilization with seven graduations: b1- unfertilized (control), b2-N50P50K0 kg·ha-1 annually, b3-N75P75K0 kg·ha-1 annually, b4-N100P100K0 kg·ha-1 annually, b5-10 Mg·ha-1 sheep manure annually, b6-20 Mg·ha-1 annually and b7-30 Mg·ha-1 annually sheep manure applied at two years. The results obtained showed that dry matter production was influenced both by the harvest phenophase and the fertilizer doses used, the higher dry matter production values obtained in the fertilized variants with N100P100K0 kg·ha-1 annually and 30 Mg·ha-1 of two-year-old sheep manure harvested in full-flowering phenophase of the dominant species. Both harvesting in different phenophases, but especially fertilization, led to the modification of structure of vegetation cover by favoring valuable species from fodder point of view.
