We observed the changes in Cholinesterase U / L; Lipase U / L; ALT U / L; AST U / L; Alkaline phosphatase U / L; Creatinine μmol / L and Bilirubin μmol / L. In this study we found that the lipase and alkaline phosphatase tend to decrease with age. AST, ALT and creatinine are higher in older boars. Cholinesterase and bilirubin age changes are too small and are close to 5% variation. The first cluster includes individuals with higher cholinesterase, lipase and ALF (P<0.01), but considerably lower for creatinine (P<0.01). The second cluster includes thirteen-month-old boars with higher AST, ALT, bilirubin and creatinine (P<0.01) and respectively lower ALF (P<0.01).listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Efficiency of micotoxin sorbtion in vitro by Lignsorbent(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2019) Reshetnichenko, O.; Tarasenko, Ludmila; Piven, OlhaIt was found that in an in vitro condition, Lignosorbent in an amount of 0.5 % showed a high sorbtion ability (70−100 %) for aflatoxin B1, patulin, zearalenone, sterigmatocystin and a lower sorbtion of T-2 toxin and deoxynivalenol (50 % and 65 %). The doubling of the recommended amount of Lignosorbent did not provide a significant increase in the sorbtion of DON and T-2 toxins. Lignosorbent is able to sorb the mycotoxins of the trichothecen group (T-2 toxin, DON) by only 65−70 %. The maximum level of sorbtion of mycotoxins Lignosorbent is fixed at the 60th minute of exposure. The sorbtion capacity of Lignosorbent essentially depends on the polarity of the mycotoxins.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Entheropathies in bovine youth(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2019) Lazăr, Roxana; Lazăr, Mircea; Boişteanu, Paul-CorneliuGastroenteropathies in bovine youth has a large incidence in households. These disorders are characterized by loss of appetite, diarrhea, weight loss, dehydration of the body leading to disorders of the body's homeostasis. The pathogenesis of these disorders is explained by a series of disturbances in the intestine, metabolic acidosis, dehydration of the body due to the loss of. electrolytes. The blood may be affected by hemoconcentration, hematocrit increase and false polyglobulum. Leukopenia followed by leukocytosis is observed in the first phase of the disease. The leukocyte formula has a neutrophilic character especially when the first symptoms appear and then, in the convalescence phase, lymphocytes are produced. The research was carried out on a 3-9-month-old bovine youth group grown in a farm in northern Moldavia region. The total number of erythrocytes, the hemoglobin concentration, hematocrit, total white blood cells and blood levels were determined. Blood samples were drawn from the jugular vein into vacutainer tubes on EDTA support. Based on the obtained results we may say that the bovine youth suffering from gastroenteritis presents a microcytic and hypochromic anaemia.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Aspects of sex breeding and segregation in rabbits(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2019) Mardari, Tatiana; Leonte, DoinaThis research study presents some indices of reproductive and sexual heredity in rabbits. The investigation subject was a rabbit flock that had the same raising conditions and the same experimental period. The largest prolificacy was obtained in October (7.6 animals) and August (7.55 heads); the lowest prolificacy was recorded in the winter months, and namely in December (5.8 heads), January (6.05 heads) and February (6.8 heads). This proves the doe-rabbits’ dependence on the day length and influence on the reproduction. The closest gender segregation ratio is 1: 0.9 in July and the farthest one is 1:1.5 in December in favor of males, which are born more often than females.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Researches regarding the cryopreservation of the sperm of the boar(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2019) Cibotaru, Elena; Darie, G.; Rotari, DoinaThe research was conducted on the boar sperm. The semen was collected by manual method. After collecting the sperm was subjected to the macroscopic and microscopic examination. Ejaculates admitted for processing were diluted with dilution media in which the CL-1 substance with 7% antioxidant and membranotropic properties was added as an additional component. After dilution, the semen was refrigerated for 4 hours at + 2-4°C. After the term of refrigeration has expired, the semen has frozen in the form of granules. Defrosting was performed in a marine bath at 45°C. Testing of the defrosted material was performed by the CEROS computerized method. The mobility of sperm after thawing was 34-38% with viability at 37°C for 3-5 hours.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Aspects of equine feeding behavior and food consumption(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2019) Köntés, E.; Pop, Mircea-IoanIn the process of researching the feeding behavior and food consumption reflexes of equines, a series of measurements have been executed regarding the quantity of food that has reached the oral cavity of the observed specimens with one bite, and also the speed of consumption for a given quantity of food. The data has been collected at three farms, from 20 specimens, all of them over three years of age. Repeated measurements have been performed regarding the quantities of oat consumed with one bite, and also the time necessary for the consumption of one kilogram of oat. Regarding the bite, the distinctions observed between the specimens varied individually, but significant variations have been observed regarding the time necessary for the consumption of the food. During the research a strong correlation has been noticed between the speed of the food consumption and the frequency of colic in the observed specimens. For the specimens with colic, the time necessary for the consumption of 1 kg of oat was approximately 30-40% shorter than the average of the observed group. A few causes have been identified for the acceleration of food consumption, which can implicitly contribute to the development of equine colic. The data obtained can be beneficial for the understanding and exploitation of certain behavioral patterns and the eventual prevention of some of the problems caused by equine feeding behavior.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Milk composition and identification of protein polymorphism in Montbéliarde cows to select the best variants and improve chesse quality(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2019) Lazăr, Cristina; Pelmuş, Rodica; Ghiţă, Elena; Rotar, M.C.The main purpose of this study was to identify the proteins polymorphism in Montbéliarde cows to discover and select the best individuals whit casein variants suitable for a very good ability of making cheese. Milk composition was analysed for fat (3.83%) and protein (3.38%). Fat percentage manifested a high variability and ranged between 6.06% and 1.21%, while milk protein didn’t have the same variation with closed limits (3.89 and 3.28%). SDS-PAGE analysis revealed, after electrophoresis, six protein fractions in milk samples: αs1, αs2, β, k-CN, and β-LG, and α-LA. By densitometry analysis, three levels of expressions of the same type of protein fraction were discovered in each milk sample. The casein group, composed by four fractions αs1-, αs2-, β- and k-casein (32.8%, 7.3%, 34.3%, 17.6%) show in fact that they are 92% of the total milk protein and 8% are albumins similar with other studies for cows. First protein fraction αs1-casein, was with medium expression manifested by 54.54% of the cows, followed by that one with strong (31.82%) and low expression (13.64%). On the third place in milk composition is situated β-casein with strong expression for 4.54% of the cows. Medium expression level of the β-casein was manifested by the majority of the analysed Montbéliarde cows (72.73%) and 22.73% of it had low expression level, while only 4.54% of them have recorded strong expression level. Further investigations will be necessary to confirm the results by PCR-RFLP analysis to identify Montbéliarde cows caseins polymorphism with the genetic variants for each protein locus. This will allow keeping the most suitable animals with strong genetic expression and high content in caseins very well correlated with milk.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Effect of cages type and mating management on fertility and hatchability of japanese quail(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2019) El-Sheikh, T.M.; Essa, N.M.; Abdelkareem, A.A.; El-sagheer, M.A.This study was designed to evaluate the effects of different mating ratios; (1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4 and 1:5 male to females, respectively) and cages types:(individual and colony) on the fertility and hatchability rate of Japanese quail from 16-32 weeks of age. A total number of 260 sexed Japanese quails (65 males &195 females) at 16 weeks of age were used. All birds were randomly divided into two experimental groups according to two cage types (individually & colony cages); 160 birds for colony cage and 100 birds for individually cage. Each group was divided into five treatments of mating ratios (1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4 and 1:5 male to females, respectively), each treatment of individual cages divided into five replicates, while the colony cages was one replicate for each. The results showed that fertility rate and hatchability rate for eggs produced from quails which reared in individual cages was significantly higher (P≤0.05) than those in colony cages. Also, the mating ratios of (1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 male to females) had higher (P≤0.05) fertility and hatchability rates as compared with those of (1:4 and 1:5 male to females). However, data indicated that cages type and different mating ratios had no significant effect on chick weight at hatch (absolute & percentage). From these results, it could be concluded that individual cages had better fertility and hatchability rate as compared with those which reared in colony cages. Also, the mating ratios of (1:1, 1:2 and 1:3 male to females, respectively) are considered the best for rearing adult Japanese quail to obtain the high fertility and hatchability rates compared with others (1:4 and 1:5 male to females, respectively).listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Utilization of organic fertilizer on growth and production of Brachiaria humidicola cv. Tully and Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott in coconuts based farming system(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2019) Anis, Selvie D.; Kaligis, David A.; Telleng, Malcky M.; Kaunang, Charles L.; Najoan, MarieIndonesia is one of the among five country with big human population in the world, still import red meat to meet demand of this meat in country, since the price of this commodity is higher than those import. This expensive product due to the fattening cattle in country use concentrate as animal feed rather than forages as practice in other country such as Australia. The problem is supply of forages is insufficient due to limitation of space for forage production. On the other hand there is some under utilize space in coconut plantation since Indonesia is the largest production of coconuts in the world. Furthermore some tropical grasses have been selected as species tolerance growth under shade environment in coconuts plantation. Integrating systems always facing with competition of water and nutrient. Therefore external input of nutrient in form of fertilizer is important to avoid the negative effects of deficiency of nutrient especially to coconut as main crops. Utilization of an-organic fertilizer is more simple but costly and has some negative environmental impact. Chicken manure is available abundantly and some time promotes soil and water contamination. The aim of this research was to study the effects of organic fertilizer utilization on growth and production of two common tropical grasses of Brachiaria humidicola cv. Tully and Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott to be highly and moderately shade tolerant species grown underneath mature coconuts. Both species has good performance in term of dry matter yield and quality, persistent during dry seasons and palatable for ruminant. Chicken manure was fermented with effective micro-organism (EM4) during 7 days until the beginning temperature at 50°C down to around 20°C called “bokashi”. The experiment was conducted at coconut research centre area (BALITKA) Manado at the end of rainy season, since February 2017 until August 2017. The plant material used in this study was tillers of both species. They were taken from field laboratory of Forages science department, Faculty of Animal Science, University of Sam Ratulangi Manado. Tiller was put in individual poly bags (1 plant/poly bag) which were filled with 2 kg growing media. The plants were nursed for 3 months in growing media. After 3 months of the nursery period, this plant has been trimming to get homogeny re-growth, and then was transplanted to experimental plot in the field. The field where the experiment was done has approximately 70% of flat land and 30% surge. The soil has an average pH of 6 and its colour was dark brown clay. Precipitation peaks took place in January, with high rainfall intensity. This caused high relative humidity (80%). Air temperature ranged from 25°C to 37°C. These climate conditions were suitable for the growth and production of both experimental plants. The elephant grass plant space was 100 x 100 cm apart and B. humidicola space was 50 x 50 cm apart. Bokashi has applied at the same time of plot preparation plowing and harrowing since this type of fertilizer needs enough time of dilution before planting. This experiment using completely randomized factorial design with 2 factors. The first factor was two species of grasses being evaluated were Brachiaria humidicola cv. Tully and Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott. The second factor was three different levels of bokashi (B) where: B0 = five ton of bokashi application, B1 = application of 10 ton per ha, B2 = application of 20 ton per ha. Each treatment was allocated randomly at experimental plots in the field. The variables include fresh weight yield (ton/ha), dry weight yield (ton/ha), crude protein yield (ton/ha), crude fiber yield (ton/ha), and ash yield (ton/ha). Dry matter yield of each plot was calculated through the value of green forage production and dry-weight percentage. Combining the dry matter yield with crude protein, crude fiber, and ash content data allowed us to calculate the mean crude protein, crude fiber, and ash yield. Carrying capacity was determined by the information obtained from the forage harvested; it was collected from productivity estimation of each plot and converted to one ha. Available forage was calculated based on 70% of the total used as factor. It is assumed that animal consumes 6.29 kg DM of forage/day/head (Indonesian condition). The plot size was 10 x 10 m. The total number of plot was 30 consisting of both grasses x 3 level of bokashi x 5 replications. Data were then statistically analyzed by using analysis of variance (ANOVA) by means of MINITAB (Version 16). Honestly Significance Difference (HSD) was applied to determine the difference among treatments. Differences were considered at P<0.05. Harvesting biomass of B. humidicola cv. Tully and P. purpureum cv. Mott was done simultaneously when the ages of plants has arrived 35 days after replanting time in the field. P. purpureum cv. Mott was defoliated at first node from the soil surface (approximately 10 cm above ground). B. humidicola was defoliated at 10 cm level above ground. To get sample of B. humidicola has been used square 1 x 1 meter. This square was placed in the middle to avoid the border effects, two times in each plot. Sample of P. purpureum has take five plants in two places in each plot so there were 10 plants as sample in each plot. Samples were dried at 60°C for about 48 h to determine the dry weight. The samples were analyzed for dry matter, crude protein, crude fiber and ash according to the standard procedure of Association of Official Analytical Chemists. The result of this research show that dry matter yield of both species of grasses received 20 ton ha-1 of organic fertilizer bokashi was 41% significant higher than other treatment. In term of crude protein yield it was 77% significant higher compared to other treatment. The effect of that treatment on NDF yield was 58% significant higher. Furthermore carrying capacity of both species of grasses received organic fertilizer bokashi at 20 ton ha-1 was significant higher at 40% than those at 5 ton ha-1. It could be concluded that both species response positively utilization of organic fertilizer bokashi chicken manure. Utilization of organic fertilizer in form of bokashi could provide forages to support ruminant production integrated with coconuts plantation. By that way could be enhance economic value of this integrated systems.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Research concerning the influence of stimulative feeding over reproduction activity of Karakul of Botosani breed(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2019) Florea, M.Al.; Pascal, Constantin; Nechifor, I.The main purpose of the research was to verify how the Karakul de Botoşani ewes respond to a stimulating feeding period for a new breeding season. In order to compare the data obtained and to interpret them properly, two groups of ewes were formed, each with a total of 250 females. First group was subjected to stimulating feeding, in set up areas of resting shelter, with 250 grams of a mixture of bits from the selection of cereal and legume seeds. The additional feeding was done in the morning, before ewes were grazed, for 30 consecutive days. The second group had the same number of females, the difference being that they did not benefit from additional feed and nutritional requirements were strictly mobilized from the green meadow consumed by grazing. After the set interval, experimental rams were introduced each morning in the flock; the females who manifested ovulate heat were mated with breeding rams nominated through the mating routing list.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Effect of feeding rate on growth performance of A. stellatus (Pallas, 1771) reared in a recirculating aquaculture system(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2019) Petrea, Șt.-M.; Mogodan, Alina; Simionov, Ira-Adeline; Cristea, V.Recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) represents the most suitable solution for rearing sturgeons in intensive conditions, situation which imposes the use of a proper technology, respectively feeding rate, for a certain fish development stage. The aim of present study is to evaluate the effect of feeding rate on growth performance of stellate sturgeon (330.55±44.27 g) reared in RAS conditions. Two feeding rates were tested (F1 - 1% BW, respectively F2 - 2% BW), in replicate Biomass measurements were made at the middle of the experimental period, in order to adjust the daily administrated feed quantity. The average specific growth rate indicates a superior fish production at F2 (1.15 %BW/day), compared to F1 (0.65 %BW/day) experimental variant. However, from the perspective of feeding strategy efficiency, the average food conversion ratio (FCR) indicates better values for F1 experimental variant (1.5 g feed/g biomass gain), compared to F2 (1.61 g feed/g biomass gain). The protein efficiency ratio (PER) registered higher values at F1 experimental variant (1.67), compared to F2 (1.53), revealing the ability of fish organism to utilize proteins, which positively affects growth rate. Therefore, as a conclusion, it can be stated that during the analyzed stellate sturgeon development stage a better cost efficiency is recorded when applying 1% BW feeding rate, although if production maximization is targeted, 2% BW feeding rate is recommended.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Research regarding the evolution of livestock and quality of pig carcasses in Romania(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2019) Al.A. The product “Telemea cow cheese” was appreciated also through its physical-chemical characteristics, observing that these ones were into product’s standard. Regarding dry matter rate, was observed that this one was very close to the one imposed by standard (min. 43%), being of 43.37±2.44%. Salt content was situated at the inferior limit for the value imposed by standard (2.5-4.0), mean determined value being 3.11±0.48%. The fat rate reported to dry matter, recorded a calculated mean value of only 41.50±1.86%, inferior, to the demands imposed by standard (42%) with 0.50%. The product “Fresh cow cheese” presented sensorial characteristics in conformity with product standard, having a white to a white-yellowish colour, with compact mass and a soft consistency. Dry matter rate determined into final product overcome the minimum imposed by standard (20%), being 21.2±2.08%. Content in protein substances for fresh cow cheese was, in mean, of 17.6±1.27%, with +0.6% higher than the minimum accepted value. Acidity of fresh cow cheese was into the limits imposed by product standard (210–220oT), being obtained a mean value of 215.31±10.14oT.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Research on the influence of "bior" preparation on crioconservation of ram sperm(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2019) Darie, G.; Bradu, Nina; Iurcu, I.The object of the study was the sperm of sheep-producers of local breeds and the drug BioR (developed by the Institute of Microbiology and Biotechnology of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova). The drug BioR was added to the commercial environment (GCJ) as an additional component in a concentration of from 1 to 10%. It has been proven that BioR is not toxic to sperm within the studied concentration. The best results in motility and survivability after thawing of sperm were obtained when BioR at a concentration of 6% was introduced into the commercial medium of GC as an additional component. The medium was tested under production conditions for insemination of sheep. It was found that when using a medium in which BioR was introduced as an additional component, the fertility of sheep inseminated by thawed seed was 47.8%. A synthetic sperm cryopreservation medium for rams consists of glucose, sodium citrate, glycerin, egg yolk, BioR and antibiotics (patent 4513).listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Research regarding the factors influencing meat production at a bovine herd(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2019) Maciuc, Vasile; Nistor, Cătălin-Emilian; Popescu, E.C.The present paper proposes a bold approach to a topical issue, namely the production of beef meat. The study was conducted on a herd of 120 Aberdeen Angus cattle. Genetic and exploitative factors that influence meat production have been studied on this biological material. In conditions, of an extensive exploitation system, the medium value of 1111.16 g for the average daily gain is very good. The limits were between 869 g and 1453 g. The body weight at 200 days registered an average value of 255.5 kg with limits between 171.8 and 322.6 kg. Analyzing the results of the descendants by sex factor, we found significant differences in the average daily gain, and the body weight at 200 days, in favour of the males. Thus, the average daily gain was 1060.4 g for females and 1268.2 g for males, the difference being significant with 208 g. The body weight at 200 days evolved accordingly, in favour of males with 50.63 kg respectively, a body weight of 245.46 kg was recorded for females and 296.09 kg for males. The birth weight is positively and intermediary correlated with the mean daily gain r=0.375 (37%), the link being significant for p<0.01, but also with the index of the average daily gain r=0.315 for p<0.05. As a conclusion, in the case of the studied herd, we find that both exploitation and genetic factors have positively influenced the results on meat production indicators.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , The zootechnical evaluation of the sheeps in the Baştina farm(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2019) Mihaela Ivancia; Rațu, Roxana-Nicoleta; Nacu, Gh.; Dronca, D.D.; Popa, R.Al.; Baștea, M.; Pascal, Constantinstract In order to have valuable lambs, it is necessary to know all the reproduction indices, especially in the imminent case of an efficiency of the farm given by the increase of the positive results (prolificity, birth rate, etc.) and the decrease of the negative results of the reproduction characters (mortality, percentage of returns, abortions etc). In this paper we analyzed the following characteristics: weight of lambs at calving, average daily gain, yield at calving, age at first calf, age at first calving, gestation duration, prolificity and number of products obtained from twin calves during 2017 - 2019. Regarding the weight of the lambs at calving, the highest average value was obtained for females obtained from calves, namely 5.17 ± 0.08 Kg. The values obtained for the average daily spray showed a mean of 0.250 ± 0.01 kg for males and 0.230 ± 0.01 Kg for females. Regarding the age recorded at the first mount, the average obtained was 569.94 ± 0.63 days and the age at first calving recorded an average value of 725.04 ± 0.77 days. The data collected are for monitoring the performance of the products but also of the males and adult females within the farm.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Multiplex pcr assay for detection and identification of animal species in the meat products(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2019) Coşier, VioricaMeat products and by-products adulteration is a real food safety problem that interests equally consumers and the authorities. The existence of specific genetic variation on mtDNA make it possible to detect and identify the animal meat species from fresh meat products or processed food products. In the present work we developed a multiplex PCR assay for identification of some animal species: mammals (cattle and pork), birds (poultry) and fish, from market meat products. Each primer pair was tested individual regarding specificity to a mitochondrial genome but also in a DNA mixture of all four analysed species. The specific hybridization of each primer pair has led to the production of characteristic size PCR products of 374 bp for beef, 290 bp for pork, 224 bp for poultry and 181 bp for fish. The multiplex protocol was then tested for species-specific identification in different commercial meat by-products.listelement.badge.dso-type Item , listelement.badge.access-status Open Access , Productivity and quality of maize hybrids for silage(“Ion Ionescu de la Brad” University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, Iaşi, 2019) Matei, A.C.; Mădescu, Bianca-Maria; Neculai-Văleanu, Andra-Sabina; Vintilă, V.; Amarandei, M.; Creangă, ŞteofilThe objective of this research was to identify the potential of some maize hybrids for silage production. In Romania, trout culture is facing this serious disease that causes a high mortality among fish population, varying between 10 and 60%. The etiologic agent of the disease is the virulent bacterium Yersinia ruckeri, from the Enterobacteriaceae family. This bacterium is considered strictly pathogenic, although it can survive a few months in water and sediments. The sources of infection can be the ill fish, carriers of the pathogen, that spread the bacteria in the water through their excrements of the poorly maintained ponds, water and sediment, farm equipment, bird excrements, some mammals. The predominant factors leading to yersiniosis disease are poor fish rearing conditions (accumulations out of the accepted limits for organic substances, nitrates, oxygen deficit, presence of periphyton etc.) combined with adaptive stress. When the poor conditions lead to an immunity loss of the fish and the disease sets in. Purpose of this paper is to find new treatments that act simultaneous internally on the pathogen inside the trout through administration of antibiotics in food, but also externally by destroying the residual bacteria found in mud and periphyton, through administration of non-toxic disinfectants, which does not cause side effects to the antibiotic medication. The work method consists in applying the same antibiotic treatment in the two ponds (B2, B3) under identical growth conditions and density, selected from the same batch of trout yersiniosis, with the difference that in the B3 pond, oral administration of medication was cumulated with long term peracetic acid baths. The diagnosis of Yersinosis was based on the identification of the first symptoms of the disease and was confirmed by microbiological examination and the treatment was based by sensitivity tests which decided the type of administered antibiotic. Rresults were quantified by monitoring mortalities in the two ponds and shows that in the B3 pond where the trout was treated with antibiotic and disinfectant, the recorded mortality is 3.18 % lower. The current experiment, using an antibiotic treatment administered orally, combined with a general disinfectant, administered in the water, peracetic acid, reduced the rainbow trouts mortality caused by Yersiniosis.
